Football INDEX: Manchester City and Chelsea target increasing in value
Football INDEX is the world’s first football stock market, where you can buy and shell shares in footballers with real money. Football INDEX offers fans a chance to be on the future success of football players compared to the short-lived outcome of betting on football results.
Intrigued by what Football INDEX has to offer but unsure whether to gamble your money? Football INDEX offer new customers a 7-day risk free period where they will refund any deposits made within the first 7 days of the first deposit up a total amount of £500! Think of it as a trial period where you will effectively have up to £500 to play with during your first week of trading.
Still undecided which footballers to invest your money in? Football INDEX even provide you with a handy resource to help you make informed decisions. Share prices are just determined by performance, but also their media attention. Every day, Football INDEX highlight the five biggest market movers over a 24-hour period, which can be located on the home page of Football INDEX.
1. GONCALO GUEDES (VALENCIA)
After a three-game absence, Goncalo Guedes returned to first-team action much earlier than anticipated over the weekend. A 17-minute cameo at the end of Valencia’s 2-1 defeat to Eibar has caught the attention of Football INDEX users and resulted in a stunning 125.79% increase in his share price.
While Guedes failed to influence proceedings upon his return, Football INDEX users are hoping the on-loan Paris Saint-Germain star will rediscover his early season form after helping Valencia to a blistering start to the campaign. The 21-year-old has played a direct hand in eight goals in seven La Liga starts this season, but at this point only represents a long-term investment.
La Liga sides only have one more match before their miniature winter break so unless you are prepared to play the waiting game, investing at his current share price of £1.40 will bring no benefits at this moment in time.
2. OLEKSANDR ZINCHENKO (MANCHESTER CITY)
Manchester City take a break from their breathtaking title challenge on Tuesday night when they face Leicester in the next round of the Carabao Cup. Pep Guardiola is expected to rotate his City squad at the King Power Stadium and that has led to plenty of speculation among Football INDEX users.
There is a strong feeling that 21-year-old Oleksandr Zinchenko will be given a rare start for City and that has resulted in a staggering 84.17% increase in his share price over the last 24 hours of trading. The Ukranian attacker had a positive impact off the bench in City’s 4-0 win over Swansea last week and will hope to build on that here.
However, business will return as usual for City at the weekend as the likes of Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling return and that will only push Zinchenko back to the bench. If you haven’t invested in the youngster, I’d advise you look elsewhere. Whereas, if you did manage to invest in Zinchenko while his share price was low, look to sell him as quickly as possible on Tuesday evening.
3. MARIANO (LYON)
24-year-old Mariano has made a stellar start to his Lyon career since joining the French side from Real Madrid in the summer and looks capable of enjoying a very successful campaign this season. The Spanish striker has scored 13 goals in 18 Ligue 1 appearances this season, including five in his last seven.
His share price has increased 79.94% in the last 24 hours and the Lyon ace is now trading at £1.28 a share. However, Wednesday night’s fixture away to Toulouse is their final game for just under a month and if you didn’t invest early in the striker then it might be wise to avoid him for now.
However, make sure you keep tabs on his share price over the turn of the year and look to invest in the early part of 2018 when his share price would have dipped due to inactivity.
4. DIOGO JOTA (WOLVES)
Diogo Jota has been in tremendous form for Championship leaders Wolves this season and his performances would have caught the eye of a number of teams, including parent club Atletico Madrid. The 21-year-old joined Wolves on a season-long loan deal in the summer and has scored nine goals and provided four assists in 22 league appearances for Nuno’s side.
In fact, he is the fourth highest WhoScored rated player in the Championship this season (7.46) and his share price on Football INDEX has increased 37.04% in the last 24 hours of trading. At £0.56 a share he represents something of little risk and may be worth keeping an eye on to see how his future develops in January.
5. WILFRIED ZAHA (CRYSTAL PALACE)
Crystal Palace face a real fight on their hands to keep hold of Wilfried Zaha beyond January following his sparkling recent form. Manchester City and Chelsea are just two of the Premier League’s biggest sides looking to sign the Ivory Coast international next month and that would be a huge blow to Palace’s chances of beating the drop.
Zaha’s return from injury in a 2-1 win over Chelsea has triggered an immense run of form for Roy Hodgson’s side. They are currently seven league games unbeaten for the first time since the start of the 1990/91 campaign and Zaha’s goals have been worth four points to the Eagles.
A combination of good performances and media speculation has resulted in a 18.92% increase in share price over the last 24 hours and his price should only continue to increase as we get closer to January. It will be worth investing in Zaha if you haven’t done already, while it might be worth purchasing more shares if you already have some.
