Harvey Elliott

Liverpool midfielder Harvey Elliott is set to miss at least a month of action after fracturing his foot in training over the international break.

The 21-year-old sustained the injury while away with England’s under-21s side, and has now returned to his club for treatment.

Curtis Jones

Fellow midfielder Curtis Jones missed the final two matches before the international break with what has been described as a ‘minor muscle issue’, but the 23-year-old has now returned to full training, and could be involved in Saturday’s game against Nottingham Forest.

Alexis Mac Allister

Argentina international Alexis Mac Allister was forced to sit out of training sessions while away with his national team-mates over the break, citing groin discomfort.

The 25-year-old, however, managed 26 minutes as a substitute in the Copa America winners’ World Cup qualifier against Colombia on Wednesday evening, and should return to Liverpool ready to play this weekend.

Federico Chiesa

The only addition to Liverpool’s first-team squad this summer, Federico Chiesa, has used the international break as an opportunity to build up his fitness, after missing out on a proper pre-season at Juventus.

The Italy international agreed with national team boss Luciano Spalletti that he would spend the fortnight training with his club, in the hopes of being ready to hit the ground running after the break.

Chiesa has reportedly taken part in full training with his new team-mates, and should be in line to make his Liverpool debut at Anfield on Saturday.
