Ex-Arsenal star up to third in European form rankings as Ronaldo drops out

Former Arsenal youngster Serge Gnabry has shot up WhoScored.com’s player form rankings into third after a perfect 10 rating as Hoffenheim demolished Cologne at the weekend.

The 22-year-old, currently on loan at TSG from Bayern, scored a brace in a 6-0 win on Saturday and has now scored four goals and registered an assist in his last six Bundesliga appearances.

Lionel Messi now leads the way in the charts, coming off the bench to salvage a point at Sevilla, replacing Cristiano Ronaldo - who no longer qualifies for the leaderboard having missed three of Real Madrid’s last eight LaLiga games.

Elsewhere Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino jumps nine places up into fourth, leapfrogging Mohamed Salah in the process, with Egyptian down one spot into sixth.

Alexis Sanchez is the highest riser into the top 20, however, after a goal and assist in victory over Swansea saw the Chilean jump 44 places into 14th, while Manchester City’s Raheem Sterling and David Silva are new entrants having now qualified by virtue of playing at least two of the leaders last three league games, and at least six of the last eight.
