Liverpool target edges closer to top spot in Premier League form rankings

Ahead of another monumental weekend of Premier League action, it's time to reveal our up-to-date Player Form Rankings. It really is the perfect resource to help you make decisions on Fantasy Football!

Before we delve into the top-10, first a reminder of how it all works. As always, our power rankings are based on a six-game period, weighted chronologically with the most recent outing carrying greater significance and so on. Each player must have played in two of the last three and six of the last eight available Premier League matches for their side. Moreover, only league ratings are considered.

10) Bernardo Silva (Manchester City) - 7.40 form rating

Used predominately as a false nine in Manchester City's 1-0 win over Arsenal last weekend, Bernardo Silva garnered a WhoScored rating of only 6.38, his third lowest in a Premier League game from starts alone this season. Silva drops from sixth to 10th in our player form rankings as a result, with three goal involvements in his last six league outings.

9) Rodri (Manchester City) - 7.47 form rating

Rodri climbs back into the top-10 without kicking a ball last weekend. Pep Guardiola rested the Spaniard against Arsenal to have him fresh to face Gladbach in the Champions League in midweek. Rodri is certainly enjoying his best run in a City shirt. The 24-year-old averages 2.5 tackles per game across his last six league appearances and has twice managed 100+ passes in that time.

8) Patrick Bamford (Leeds) - 7.47 form rating

Another new face in our top-10 this week is Leeds forward Patrick Bamford following his goal against Southampton in midweek. The 27-year-old has played a direct hand in six goals in his last six league appearances (three goals, three assists), though three of those came all in one game (vs Leicester). Leeds face Aston Villa this weekend, whom Bamford scored a hat-trick against in the reverse fixture.

7) Mateo Kovacic (Chelsea) - 7.47 form rating

Mateo Kovacic, who has arguably benefitted more from Thomas Tuchel's arrival than any other player at Chelsea, is a non-mover, keeping his position of seventh. Kovacic averages 3.2 dribbles per game across his last six league appearances and has managed in excess of 100 passes in half of those games.

6) Marcus Rashford (Manchester United) - 7.60 form rating

Marcus Rashford has missed some good chances of late but still has two goals and one assist in his last four league appearances. Moreover, Rashford averages 3.8 successful dribbles per game.

5) Phil Foden (Manchester City) - 7.77 form rating

Unlike Rodri, who benefitted from not playing against Arsenal to move up the rankings, Phil Foden actually drops a place to fifth after being rested in Manchester City's last league outing. Foden has played a direct hand in three goals in his last three league appearances and is now a key player for Pep Guardiola's side.

4) Raphinha (Leeds) - 7.81 form rating

Leeds certainly have a good player on their hands in Raphinha, signed from French side Rennes in the summer. After being eased into life in the Premier League, Raphinha continues to grow from strength to strength and will surely be on the wishlists of some big Premier League teams this season, with Liverpool reportedly keen. Raphinha features in a season-best fourth place in our player form rankings with four goal involvements in his last six league appearances. Two of his top three best rated performances of the season have come in Leeds' last two games.

3) Ilkay Gundogan (Manchester City) - 7.82 form rating

Ilkay Gundogan couldn't keep his remarkable goal scoring form going against Arsenal last weekend and drops from first to third in our form guide as a result. Nevertheless, the Germany international has scored braces against Tottenham, Liverpool and West Brom in his last six league outings.

2) Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United) - 7.68 form rating

Bruno Fernandes once again dragged Manchester United to victory in the Premier League, this time scoring and assisting in a 3-1 win over Newcastle last weekend. Fernandes has scored in four straight league appearances and has played a direct hand in seven goals in that time to move up to second in our form guide.

1) Raheem Sterling (Manchester City) - 8.15 form rating

Replacing Ilkay Gundogan at the top of our Premier League form guide is his Manchester City team-mate Raheem Sterling. The 26-year-old has scored in four of his last six league appearances and also has two assists in that time. In fact, six of his 14 goal involvements in the league this season have come in his last six.
