SIMON MIGNOLET

Simon Mignolet is one of three goalkeepers to keep a clean sheet in each of the opening three league games this season. The Belgian looks a much calmer influence in between the sticks and this has resonated throughout the defence with a series of solid performances by Liverpool. On Saturday, they welcome a West Ham side low on confidence and with a distinct lack of firepower. The Hammers have failed to win at Anfield since 1963 and have scored just once in their last 6 trips to face the Reds - that a Martin Skrtel own goal - so a fourth clean sheet of the season for Mignolet is a possibility.

JORDAN AMAVI

While he was at fault for Bakary Sako’s winner at Crystal Palace last week, Jordan Amavi remains one of the finest young left-backs in the league and with Aston Villa welcoming a disappointing Sunderland side to Villa Park, the Villans will be confident of a clean sheet. It’s pressing forward, though, where Amavi excels. Only Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain (12) and Eden Hazard (11) have completed more successful dribbles in the Premier League this season than Amavi (10), so it’s clear the Frenchman provides an offensive threat from deep, which could be central to Villa's efforts of securing maximum points.

DEJAN LOVREN

The butt of many a joke last season, Dejan Lovren has started the campaign in impressive fashion for Liverpool, forming part of the solid backline to keep three clean sheets from three. Only two players are averaging more clearances per game than Lovren (9.3) in the Premier League this season, with the Croat able to be in the right place at the right time to alleviate danger. Against a West Ham side that has struggled in front of goal at Liverpool in recent seasons, a clean sheet is high on the agenda.

ELIAQUIM MANGALA

Nicolás Otamendi’s arrival may have cast doubt over Eliaquim Mangala’s starting spot for Manchester City, but the young Frenchman has impressed at the heart of the Citizens’ backline this season. Like Lovren, the experienced Frenchman endured his critics last term, only to bounce back with aplomb alongside Vincent Kompany. City are one of three teams yet to concede this season and against a Watford side that has failed to net in the last two league games, the 24-year-old is expected to shut out the Hornets attack to make it four clean sheets from four for City this term.

GLEN JOHNSON

Stoke are generally strong at home and will be looking to secure their first win of the season when they welcome West Brom to the Britannia Stadium this weekend. While his time at Liverpool ended not with a bang, but a whimper, Glen Johnson has slotted seamlessly into the Potters starting XI, with his average of 1.7 successful dribbles per game more than any Stoke player. If the Baggies are to be put to the sword on Saturday, Johnson could have a key role to play when he breaks forward on the right.

ANDRE AYEW

One of the signings of summer, Andre Ayew has quickly adjusted to the rigours of the Premier League, forming an effective attack with offensive teammates Bafetimbi Gomis, Jefferson Montero and Gylfi Sigurdsson. Two goals from his opening three games is a commendable return for a debutant in England’s top tier. The Ghanaian is strong in the air and with Manchester United boasting a WhoScored weakness of ‘aerial duels’, and Ayew is expected to be crucial in the Swans’ route to goal when the two teams meet at the Liberty Stadium.

DAVID SILVA

Having played a key role in City’s excellent start to the season, David Silva is tipped to maintain his superb form against Watford. One goal and three assists have contributed to his WhoScored rating of 8.25, a return bettered only by Riyad Mahrez (9.22), and the Spaniard is expected to be at the hub of every Citizens attack when Watford travel to the Etihad Stadium.

JASON PUNCHEON

Without John Terry through suspension, Chelsea come into the meeting with Crystal Palace in poor form at the back. The Blues have conceded more shots on target (24) than any other Premier League team this season, while only Sunderland (8) have shipped more goals (7). However, it’s from set piece situations where Chelsea have struggled and it’s where Jason Puncheon can swing the tie in Palace’s favour. No team has conceded more shots from corners than the west London side (9) this season and given Puncheon’s delivery from these situations; it's likely his corners will pose all kinds of problems to Chelsea’s backline.

CALLUM WILSON

A hat-trick in Bournemouth’s enthralling 4-3 win at West Ham last week means only Mahrez (4) has scored more goals than Callum Wilson (3) in the Premier League this season. The two goalscoring attackers go head-to-head this weekend when the Cherries host Leicester, with the focus on Wilson to add to his three-goal haul from last week. Against a Foxes outfit that have shipped four goals in the opening three games, it's possible he will do so.

OLIVIER GIROUD

Arsenal travel to Newcastle in the weekend’s early kick off as they hope to put another three points on the board. Three of the four points gained this season came away from home in a 2-1 win at Crystal Palace, a victory Olivier Giroud netted in. The Frenchman is expected to lead the attack for the Gunners once more and add to his notable tally against Newcastle. In six appearances against the Magpies, Giroud has eight goals to his name and given their defensive frailties, Giroud should add to that return on Saturday.

ROMELU LUKAKU

Romelu Lukaku looks to be back to his best this season after an underwhelming campaign and while he played the full 120 minutes in Everton’s 5-3 win at Barnsley in midweek, the Belgian will be happy to be among the goals once more. A brace at Oakwell means Lukaku has four goals to his name in his last three competitive appearances. Spurs, meanwhile, have kept just one clean sheet in their last 10 league games at White Hart Lane, that coming at home to Hull City at the end of last season. The London side may be favourites to secure victory, but don’t expect them to prevent Everton - and Lukaku - from netting.
