You vs WhoScored - Have You Got What it Takes to Beat Us?

WhoScored.com are delighted to announce an exciting new partnership with fantasy football platform MondoGoal. Using their unique points scoring system we're offering you the chance to pit your wits against our Whoscored.com expert in a series of one-week fantasy football challenges for the chance to win some cash and fantastic prizes through our new 'You vs WhoScored' game.

MondoGoal allows you to enter new teams every time you play, with contests lasting for just one match day or gameweek, enabling you to pick the XI that you think will pick up the most points ahead of the next set of fixtures alone. Do so in our 'You vs WhoScored' league and if you beat our expert's tally for any Premier League round of matches between now and the end of the season you'll earn a place in our final contest of the season, with some terrific prizes up for grabs. The score you’ll need to beat is the one set by the “Whoscored Expert”.

How to score points

Unlike most platforms MondoGoal awards points for a range of statistical achievements in a game, influenced by an individual's playing position. Each player picks up points for every minute that they are on the field, as well as being docked points for fouls committed and cards received.

Goalkeepers

Keepers pick up points for clean sheets and saves, along with being docked points for conceding goals, but unlike other offerings if a team concedes just once in a game players will receive bonus points, with goalkeepers awarded the maximum of 3.

Defenders

Your back line will also be awarded points for clean sheets and 'single goal matches', along with increases for tackles, interceptions and passes completed. Meanwhile, goals are worth 7 points and assists are worth 4 to all outfield players.

Midfielders

Unlike forwards, midfielders are entitled to points for clean sheets (2) and single goal matches (1), along with shots on target (2) and passes completed.

Forwards

Your primary goal getters may have the best chance of receiving the highest points through goals and assists but unlike the other positions forwards receive no boost for clean sheets or conceding just once. Shots on target and passes completed are both rewarded, while a missed penalty from any player will receive a 5-point deduction.
