Everyday, Football INDEX highlights the five biggest market movers over a 24-hour period. Here are the current five at the time of writing:
1. AYOUB EL KAABI (RS BERKANE)
The biggest market mover on Football INDEX in the last 24 hours is Morocco forward Ayoub El Kaabi.
The 24-year-old’s Football INDEX share price has increased a remarkable 110.84% in the last 24 hours ahead of the 2018 World Cup next month.
El Kaabi is a relative novice on the international scene, but he is already a hit for the Atlas Lions.
In fact, the Berkane forward has scored 10 goals in six starts for Morocco, including a hat-trick against Guinea in January.
He has already been linked with a move to Mexico, but there may be other suitors if he can perform well at the 2018 World Cup.
His Football INDEX share price is only £0.47 and should be considered for your portfolios ahead of the World Cup.
2. FABINHO (LIVERPOOL)
Liverpool announced the shock arrival of Fabinho from Monaco on Monday night and his Football INDEX share price has increased 28% as a result since then.
Jurgen Klopp’s side did extremely well to keep a deal for Fabinho under wraps and the Brazil international is an exciting addition to Liverpool’s midfield.
With RB Leipzig star Naby Keita also due to arrive in July, Liverpool are putting together a starting XI capable of rivalling Manchester City for the Premier League next term.
Fabinho has developed into an excellent defensive midfielder in the last two years for Monaco and is also a penalty expert, converting all 17 of his spot kicks in the league for the French side.
Despite the fact his Football INDEX share price is £2.04, he should still be considered for your portfolios. He was not picked by Brazil for the 2018 World Cup, so you will have to wait until next season to see another jump in price.
3. BASSEM SRARFI (NICE)
Reports have emerged since Monday evening that Arsenal and Leicester sent scouts to Tunisia’s 2-2 draw with Portugal to keen a close on Bassem Srarfi.
The Nice starlet has been likened to Riyad Mahrez, which would explain why Leicester are monitoring his development.
Leicester are expected to sell Mahrez to Manchester City this summer and will need a replacement.
Srarfi made 26 league appearances for Nice this season, although 16 of those came from the bench.
The 20-year-old scored three times during his breakout year and will hope to impress with Tunisia at the 2018 World Cup.
The Nice No.11’s Football INDEX share price has increased 19.70% in the last 24 hours but he will likely have to settle for a reduced role in Russia.
With that in mind, a summer move looks premature at this stage of his career and he should not be considered for your portfolios.
4. MARIUS WOLF (BORUSSIA DORTMUND)
Fresh from completing a move to Borussia Dortmund on Monday, Marius Wolf’s Football INDEX share price has increased 14.8% in the last 24 hours.
Wolf caught Dortmund’s attention after scoring five goals and providing eight assists in 28 league appearances for Frankfurt this season.
The 23-year-old will not compete for places with Christian Pulisic and Andriy Yarmolenko on the right of Dortmund’s attack.
Unless Pulisic leaves this summer, it’s unlikely Wolf will be a first-team regular for Dortmund next season.
With that in mind, he should not be considered for your Football INDEX portfolios, as his share price is unlikely to increase much more.
5. JACK GREALISH (ASTON VILLA)
After failing to secure promotion to the Premier League in Saturday’s Championship playoff final, Jack Grealish is expected to leave Aston Villa this summer.
The 22-year-old has been in outstanding form for Villa this season and was named the WhoScored Man of the Match in their playoff final defeat to Fulham (8.65 rating).
Villa will struggle to hold onto Grealish this summer, as there will be plenty of Premier League teams circling for his signature.
His Football INDEX share price has increased 14.6% in the last 24 hours and he should be considered for your portfolios ahead of the summer transfer window chaos.
