What time is the Europa League draw? Man Utd, Tottenham and Rangers to learn fate
After the excitement of the Champions League draw on Thursday evening, attention now turns to the Europa League as Manchester United, Tottenham and Rangers prepare to learn their fate.
Just like the Champions League, the Europa League has also undergone a format change. 36 teams will now be entered into a league stage, with the top eight teams progressing to the next round of the competition. Teams that finish from ninth to 24th will then compete in a knockout playoff, with the victors securing their spot in the next round of the Europa League.
Teams from 25th and down will be eliminated from the European competition entirely.
What time is the draw?
The Europa League draw is scheduled to take place at 12:00pm (GMT) on Friday 30th August.
Can Manchester United and Tottenham face one another in the league stage?
Each team will face eight different opponents as they look to book their spot in the knockout stages of the Europa League, with four home fixtures and four away fixtures.
However, both United and Spurs can't face one another in the league stage, though they can both be drawn against Rangers from Pot 1.
When and where is the Europa League final?
The Europa League final will take place at San Mames in Bilbao, Spain, on Wednesday May 21st 2025.
