Watch: No room for Alisson in Liverpool-Everton Ultimate Merseyside Derby XI
It's the Merseyside Derby this weekend as Liverpool host Everton. The pair resume rivalries with the Reds seeking to maintain their home dominance over their Merseyside neighbours. Liverpool haven't lost a home league meeting with the Toffees since Kevin Campbell struck early on in a 1-0 win back in 1999.
Liverpool may have secured a morale boosting victory in the Champions League in midweek, beating RB Leipzig 2-0 in Hungary to give themselves every possible opportunity of landing a place in the quarter-finals. However, their league form has been anything but impressive. Indeed, Jurgen Klopp has overseen just two wins from their last 10 and three successive defeats to leave them 16 points behind first-placed Manchester City.
Everton's home form has been dire, but their performances on the road have delivered five wins from their last seven away league outings to keep them within touching distance of their rivals.
The Merseyside Derby was the main focus of this week's episode of Edge of the Box, and specifically the combined XI. This XI excludes injured or suspended players, and factors in ratings from starts only, with some big names missing out.
