Sancho soars up European form rankings as Bundesliga dominate leaderboard
Only four players have kept their place in the top ten of last weekend's European player form rankings, with leader Lionel Messi among those to retain his spot.
The Argentine remains in pole position despite failing to score in Barcelona's 2-2 draw with Real Sociedad, though Messi (8.83 weighted rating) did register an assist to ensure that he has still had a direct hand in at least one goal in each of his ten starts in LaLiga this season.
Timo Werner (8.40) stays in second having scored from the spot as RB Leipzig leapfrogged Gladbach to the Bundesliga summit, extending his goal streak to six league matches. Elsewhere Dimitri Payet (8.25) is down one place to fourth and Union Berlin striker Sebastian Andersson (8.08) also falls one.
Three Premier League players have lost their place in the top ten, with Son Heung-Min, James Maddison and Sadio Mane all falling along with Angel Di Maria, Radja Nainggolan and Marcus Thuram.
The highest ranked newcomer to the leaderboard this time around is Jadon Sancho (8.37), who is a new qualifier having previously been dropped due to tardiness by Borussia Dortmund. The England international has responded superbly to his slap on the wrist and jumps straight in at three having scored for the fourth league game running, as well as registering an assist.
The sole representative from England's top flight is now Adama Traore (8.16), who is now consistently realising his potential in matches. The Spaniard netted in the 2-1 defeat to Tottenham, while five dribbles takes his tally in that regard to a monumental 43 over his last six league outings for Wolves.
Meanwhile there are returns to the top ten for both Luis Alberto (8.06) of Lazio in eighth and Bayern's Robert Lewandowski (8.06) in ninth having both found the net in victories over the weekend.
Completing the top ten are first time entrants Florian Niederlechner (8.07) in seventh and Christopher Trimmel (8.05) in tenth. The former registered a hat-trick of assists in Augsburg's 4-2 win at Hoffenheim following goals in each of his previous three appearances, while the latter earned a man of the match rating from right-back as Union Berlin secured a point at Paderborn.
