5. Thiago Alcantara (Bayern Munich) – 8.04 rating

 

Thiago Alcantara enjoyed a sublime run of form in the month of March. The Spaniard’s pass success rate in the Bundesliga last month was 92.5% over four appearances. Thiago also completed 21 tackles and interceptions combined, while registering 10 key passes.

 

4. Filip Kostic (Frankfurt) – 8.31 rating

 

Filip Kostic played a direct hand in five league goals in March and his WhoScored rating only dipped below 8.00 in just one of four appearances, picking up the WhoScored Man of the Match award three times in that spell. The 26-year-old had 12 shots; registered eight key passes and completed 10 dribbles in that time. Not only that, but Kostic also completed seven tackles.

 

3. Robert Lewandowski (Bayern Munich) – 8.61 rating

 

Robert Lewandowski scored in all four of his Bundesliga appearances in March, netting six goals in the process. The Bayern Munich striker picked up two WhoScored Man of the Match awards after scoring back-to-back braces in matches against Gladbach and Wolfsburg. Lewandowski had 27 shots over the four matches, while also registering seven key passes and completed eight dribbles.

Much has been said about James Rodriguez’s future at Bayern Munich but the Bundesliga side will surely want to keep the Real Madrid loanee if he can continue his form from March. The Colombia international scored a hat-trick in a 6-0 win over Mainz last month and also netted one in a 6-0 win over Wolfsburg. Rodriguez’s WhoScored rating only dipped below 8.00 in one of four league appearances last month and picked up a perfect 10.0 rating following his hat-trick display.

 

1. Max Kruse (Werder Bremen) – 8.82 rating

 

Werder Bremen striker Max Kruse finished March as the WhoScored player of the month in the Bundesliga after a startling run of form. The 31-year-old scored in four straight appearances in March and finished the month with successive two-goal salvos. Kruse played a direct hand in nine goals in total last month, also contributing three assists to his tally of six goals.
