DraftKings: Chelsea wide duo dead-certs for fantasy football action

Committing to a season-long fantasy football game can be a chore and that’s where DraftKings has the advantage in the market. With a new game per week to win big, using DraftKings is the best way to make money in the competitive world of fantasy football.

Customers enter contests by submitting a squad before the games begin. With players earning points for their in-game performance, there are huge incentives for contest winners. This week, we’re entering our XI in the $15k Golazo competition, where the winner pockets a cool $2.5k. Entry costs just $3, and that’s where WhoScored.com can help out new users. Yet to sign up? New users will receive a $20 bonus to use in any of the cash games when they initially deposit $5. Think of it as free money to help you win huge prizes.

DraftKings have paid out more than $750,000 to users on their first-paid contests and more than $5 billion across all sports. Good at fantasy football? Then this is definitely the game for you.

DraftKings: Chelsea wide duo dead-certs for fantasy football action

Below are our tips from Saturday’s seven-match contest, excluding the early meeting between West Ham and Manchester United at the London Stadium, where we pick eight players - one goalkeeper, two defenders, two midfielders, two forwards and one utility player - from a $50k budget.

Goalkeeper - Paulo Gazzaniga (Huddersfield vs TOTTENHAM) $5,600

Since his move to Tottenham last summer, Paulo Gazzaniga has made only three competitive appearances for the north London side. They’ve won all three. Admittedly, the latter victory was via penalties in the Carabao Cup in midweek, but it’s a fine record to boast. Spurs will be confident of adding another win to the board when they travel to a Huddersfield side that is yet to score at home and win this season. With Michel Vorm injured and Hugo Lloris not expected to start, the Argentine could be a handy addition to your DraftKings team this week.

Defender - Kurt Zouma (EVERTON vs Fulham) $3,200

Everton haven’t been wholly impressive since Marco Silva took over the reins, but there has been a hint of misfortune about their results so far this season. They’ll hope to secure just their second league win of the season against Fulham this weekend. The Cottagers have scored just three goals in as many away league matches this season and are yet to win on the road this term. With Kurt Zouma set for another start alongside Michael Keane at the back, he’s an affordable centre-back option this week.

Defender - John Stones (MANCHESTER CITY vs Brighton) $3,700

A surprisingly cheap defensive option on DraftKings, Manchester City may take the welcome of Brighton as an opportunity to rest key players ahead of next week’s return to Champions League action. John Stones has fallen a little out of favour under Pep Guardiola in recent weeks, but he may use Saturday’s match as a chance to start the England international against a Seagulls side that is struggling on the road. Indeed, Brighton are one of seven teams yet to win an away game this season and have scored just twice on their travels.

Midfielder - Eden Hazard (CHELSEA vs Liverpool) $9,100

If you’re yet to see it, go and watch Eden Hazard’s goal against Liverpool on Wednesday night. Unbelievable finish! After rescuing the win from the bench, the Belgian is expected to start when Liverpool make the trip to Stamford Bridge as Chelsea and the Reds resume rivalries in Saturday’s mouthwatering fixture. His WhoScored.com rating (7.95) is better than any other Premier League player, while returns of five goals and two assists for his efforts is the best in England’s top tier this term.

Midfielder - Richarlison (EVERTON vs Fulham) $8,100

Everton’s big money summer signing started the season impressively, but a three-match ban for his dismissal against Bournemouth means Richarlison is set to make only his fifth league appearance of the campaign against Fulham. With three goals in four appearances to his name already, the welcome of the Cottagers is the ideal chance to get back among the goals. Only Huddersfield (10) have conceded more away goals than Fulham (8) in the Premier League this season, so the Brazilian youngster is well worth considering for your DraftKings team.

Forward - Danny Ings (Wolves vs SOUTHAMPTON) $6,600

Danny Ings was forced to miss the trip to Liverpool last weekend due to stipulations with his loan move to Southampton, but he is expected to be part of the Saints starting XI at Wolves. After his move to St. Mary’s was confirmed last month, Ings has impressed. The south coast side may be one of the lowest scorers in the league, netting just six goals, but Ings has scored three of those and he could be a handy inclusion in your DraftKings team for $6,600, which frees up salary funds to spend elsewhere.

Forward - Alexandre Lacazette (ARSENAL vs Watford) $8,300

A 3-1 Carabao Cup win over Brentford on Wednesday night means Arsenal have now won their last six competitive matches. The Gunners’ upturn in form has coincided with Alexandre Lacazette’s return to the first team fold. The Frenchman has had a direct hand in four goals in his last four appearances, scoring three and assisting one, and he’ll look to continue his good form against a Watford side, whose form has dipped following the international break.

Utility Man - Marcos Alonso (CHELSEA vs Liverpool) $5,200

Emerson may have scored against Liverpool in midweek, but we can expect to see Marcos Alonso return to the Chelsea XI for Saturday’s welcome of Liverpool and with a salary of $5,200, he’s well worth filling the Utility spot in this team. Part of the reason for his effectiveness is the style of teammate Eden Hazard’s play, with the Belgian’s willingness to drift infield opening up space for Alonso. The Spaniard has duly obliged to score one and assist two this season to return a WhoScored.com rating of 7.45. His impact in the final third against Liverpool could prove to be the difference between one point and three at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
