Bayern want Portugal star, Chelsea identify young striker: Monday's top transfer rumours

Bayern Munich are keen on signing a key Manchester City man, while Chelsea have identified another striker target. Here we run through today's top transfer rumours.

Bayern interested in Man City star

Bayern Munich are interested in signing Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva this summer, reports the Star.

Silva has two years left to run on his current City deal and has a £50m buy-out clause in his contract.

The 29-year-old is currently with the Portugal squad for Euro 2024 and made the team of the round following a solid showing against Turkiye on Saturday.

Chelsea make move for young striker

Chelsea have made their move to sign Maximilian Beier from Bundesliga side Hoffenheim, according to German publication Bild.

Beier impressed for Hoffenheim last season, netting 16 times in Germany's top tier to secure a national team spot at Euro 2024.

Chelsea are eyeing up a number of young strikers this summer and have been linked with Jhon Duran, Samu Omorodion and Jonathan David.

Brighton star set for Dortmund switch

Borussia Dortmund are close to reaching a verbal agreement for the signing of Brighton star Pascal Gross, reports Sky Sports Germany.

The 33-year-old has just a year left to run on his current Brighton deal and the Seagulls are prepared to cash in on the German midfielder.

Gross is keen on a return to Germany having left for Brighton back in 2017.

Chelsea face competition in race for winger

Chelsea are pushing to sign Nico Williams this summer but face competition from French side PSG in the race to land the Spain international, reports TEAMtalk.

The Blues were hoping to sign Michael Olise from Crystal Palace but have missed out on the Frenchman to Bayern Munich.

As such, they have turned their attention to the 21-year-old, though PSG are also expected to move for Williams as they look to bolster their frontline following the departure of Kylian Mbappe for Real Madrid.

Man Utd and Liverpool bid for Lille star

Manchester United and Liverpool have both launched bids for Lille centre-back Leny Yoro, reports Spanish publication Marca.

The 18-year-old is considered the most promising young defender on the continent and the Premier League pair are eager to land the teenager.

However, Yoro wants to join Real Madrid, with United and Liverpool set to miss out on the Frenchman.

Premier League trio among Kimmich suitors

Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are among the five clubs interested in Joshua Kimmich should he leave Bayern Munich this summer, reports Sky Sports Germany.

Kimmich is expected to depart Bayern after Euro 2024 having supposedly turned down a new deal with the German powerhouse.

And with just a year left to run on his current contract, Bayern are set to cash in on the 29-year-old, with Liverpool, City and Arsenal are monitoring the versatile Germany international.
