Debutant one of six England changes for trip to Bulgaria

In response to his England's disappointing result and performance in the Czech Republic, Gareth Southgate is prepared to make six changes to the starting XI that fell to a 2-1 defeat.

Among those set to come into the side against Bulgaria is Aston Villa centre-back Tyrone Mings, who is in line to make his debut and replace Michael Keane alongside Harry Maguire.

Mings is a left-footed centre-back, which is something that England have lacked for many years now, with Joleon Lescott the last to make an appearance for the Three Lions, as Southgate looks for greater balance in his back line.

Elsewhere Trent Alexander-Arnold and Ben Chilwell will return in the full-back roles, with the latter replacing Danny Rose, who serves a suspension after accumulating three yellow cards.

Meanwhile the young trio of Declan Rice, Mason Mount and Jadon Sancho all face the chop after abject displays last Friday, with Harry Winks, Ross Barkley and Marcus Rashford their respective replacements.

Having missed the opportunity to do so last time out, England can secure qualification with a victory if Kosovo lose to Montenegro. However, were the visitors to Group A's bottom side Bulgaria to fall to another shock defeat, a Kosovo victory would leave the top three separated by just a single point.
