Atalanta pair Charles De Ketelaere Ademola Lookman make the European Team of the Week having shone in the 6-1 win over Verona at the weekend. Also represented in the XI are Osasuna, Real Betis, Toulouse, Rayo Vallecano, Monza, Bayern Munich and Augsburg.

Sergio Herrera (Osasuna) – 8.64 rating 

 

Osasuna claimed an impressive backs-to-the-wall 2-0 win at Real Sociedad at the weekend with goalkeeper Sergio Herrera key between the sticks. Indeed, Herrera made nine saves in a clean-sheet attaining display to return a WhoScored rating of 8.64. 

 

Aitor Ruibal (Real Betis) – 8.36 

 

Atletico Madrid were the final team to lose their unbeaten start to the season in La Liga over the weekend as they fell to a 1-0 loss at Real Betis. Aitor Ruibal was the star performer for Manuel Pellegrini’s side with a WhoScored rating of 8.36 as he made five tackles, five clearances and three interceptions in the home success. 

 

Djibril Sidibe (Toulouse) – 8.42 

 

The first of two Toulouse players to make the cut, Djibril Sidibe provided his second league assist of the season as Les Violets earned a 3-0 win at Montpellier. Sidibe’s assist came from one of two key passes, while four tackles, three clearances and two interceptions saw the Frenchman land a WhoScored rating of 8.42. 

 

Florian Lejeune (Rayo Vallecano) – 8.05 

 

Partnering Sidibe at the back is Rayo Vallecano’s Florian Lejeune, who earned a WhoScored rating of 8.05 over the weekend. Rayo secured a narrow 1-0 home win over Alaves, with the 35-year-old superb off the ball as he made five clearances, three tackles and two interceptions to make the XI. 

 

Georgios Kyriakopoulos (Monza) – 9.16 

 

Rounding off the defence is Monza’s Georgios Kyriakopoulos, who was directly involved in both goals in Sunday’s 2-2 draw with Venezia. The Greece international netted with one of three shots and provided one assist from five key passes to contribute towards a WhoScored rating of 9.16. 

 

 

Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta) – 9.66 

 

With a WhoScored rating of 9.66, Charles De Ketelaere is the European Player of the Week. The Belgian was directly involved in three of Atalanta’s six goals in their resounding 6-1 win over Verona. De Ketelaere provided two assists from two key passes and struck with one of two shots. The 23-year-old also completed four dribbles and made two tackles in a standout display. 

 

Ademola Lookman (Atalanta) - 9.46 

 

Joining De Ketelaere in the middle of the park is club teammate Ademola Lookman, who scored twice and provided two assists against Verona at the weekend. The Nigeria international struck with both shots, while his brace of assists came from five key passes to help land a WhoScored rating of 9.46. 

 

Jamal Musiala (Bayern Munich) – 9.49 

 

Jamal Musiala makes the European Team of the Week having landed a WhoScored rating of 9.49 in Bayern Munich’s 5-0 win at Bochum. Musiala scored his fourth league goal of the season in resounding victory, and was on hand to provide his first assist of the campaign, those coming from respective returns of four shots and three key passes. An additional six successful dribbles capped his best rated display of the campaign.

Zakaria Aboukhlal (Toulouse) – 9.39 

 

The star player from Toulouse’s 3-0 win at Montpellier, Zakaria Aboukhlal was directly involved in all three goals for his side on Sunday as he bagged a brace from five shots and registered one assist with his only key pass. The 24-year-old also made two tackles to make the cut with a WhoScored rating of 9.39. 

 

Alexis Claude-Maurice (Augsburg) – 9.16 

 

Leading the charge in the European Team of the Week is Augsburg striker Alexis Claude-Maurice. The Frenchman scored both goals in their 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund, hitting the back of the net with two of three shots. The 26-year-old worked hard off the ball, too, making three tackles and two interceptions to mark his first league start of the season with a WhoScored rating of 9.16. 

 

Bryan Zaragoza (Osasuna) – 8.86

 

The second Osasuna player to feature rounds off the XI. Bryan Zaragoza was the star performer at Real Sociedad on Sunday having provided a pair of assists in the 2-0 win. That brace came from four key passes, while an additional six dribbles helped Zaragoza to a WhoScored rating of 8.86.
