Trent Alexander-Arnold extends Liverpool contract

Liverpool have this morning confirmed that the club have agreed terms on a new long-term deal for Trent Alexander-Arnold.

The 20-year-old, who is currently sidelined through injury, has been the Reds first choice right-back this season having broken into the first team from the academy last time around.

Speaking to the club’s official channel, the 20-year-old stated: “I’m ecstatic and really proud. I feel privileged to have the support and the trust the club has in me to offer me a new deal.”

Reds rebuffed in huge bid to sign teenage sensation

In less positive news as far as Liverpool are concerned, reports today suggest that they have had a £61m bid for Benfica starlet Joao Felix rejected (Correio de Manha).

Portuguese sources claim that the Liga NOS side are not entertaining offers for the 19-year-old, who has scored four goals in ten league appearances this season, though he does have a monumental release clause of £105m in his contract.

Monaco want Fellaini on loan

Ligue 1 strugglers Monaco have already been busy this month in their bid to stave off the threat of relegation and they seemingly aren’t finished yet, with Thierry Henry keen to add Marouane Fellaini to his midfield ranks (RMC Sport).

The Frenchman knows the midfielder well from his time with the Belgian national team and wants to take the 31-year-old on loan until the end of the season.

That’s despite Fellaini being sidelined through injury at present, and any such deal would see the the former Everton man’s time at Old Trafford come to an end, with his contract expiring in the summer.

Manchester United set to reach terms on new Martial contract

Anthony Martial is close to agreeing a new five-year deal at Manchester United, with an agreement set to be reached after months of talks (Sky Sports).

The Frenchman rejected an offer from the club in October but United activated a clause to extend his contract until 2020 since then.

The 23-year-old has eight league goals to his name this season and is on course to record his best haul of 11 at the club, which he managed in his debut season at Old Trafford in 2015/16.

Bayern Munich set out tempting contract terms to Hudson-Odoi

Bayern Munich are prepared to offer Chelsea starlet Callum Hudson-Odoi a contract worth £85k per week as well as the assurance of regular first team football in their battle to bring the teenager to Bavaria (The Sun).

The German champions have made their admiration of the 18-year-old perfectly clear and will offer the winger more minutes than he is set to see at Chelsea, with Christian Pulisic arriving at Stamford Bridge in the summer.

Despite the fact Hudson-Odoi is yet to start a single league game for the Blues, Bayern have already had two big money offers rejected for the teenager.

Everton make big money move for Batshuayi

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is set to be offered the chance to stay in the Premier League with Everton, who are willing to part with £40m to sign the Belgian (The Sun).

The 25-year-old endured a frustrating spell on loan at Valencia that was cut short this month, scoring just one goal in La Liga, but impressed in the second half of last season at Borussia Dortmund.

Batshuayi scored seven times in ten Bundesliga appearances and has been heavily linked with another loan move to Monaco, reuniting with former national team coach Thierry Henry.
