Premier League round-up: the star men from Saturday’s action revealed
Here we run through the WhoScored Man of the Match displays from Saturday’s Premier League action
Bournemouth 1-0 Tottenham - Ryan Fraser - 9.09 rating
Ryan Fraser pips Bournemouth debutant Mark Travers to the WhoScored Man of the Match award after supplying the assist for the match winner. The 25-year-old created nine goalscoring chances against nine-men Tottenham, only on one occasion in a Premier League match this season has someone managed more. In setting up Nathan Ake in injury time, it means no player in Europe’s top five leagues has registered more assists than Fraser this season (14).
West Ham 3-0 Southampton - Ryan Fredericks - 10.0 rating
Ryan Fredericks is the first defender to garner a perfect WhoScored 10 rating in a Premier League match since October 2009 (Thomas Vermaelen vs Blackburn). The 26-year-old completed a routine win over Southampton with West Ham’s third goal of the game, netting his first league goal of the campaign in the process. The West Ham right-back also won 10 aerial duels, completed four dribbles, won four fouls and completed six tackles and interceptions combined.

Wolves 1-0 Fulham - Joao Moutinho - 7.86 rating
Wolves took a giant step towards securing seventh place in the Premier League with a 1-0 win over already-relegated Fulham. Moutinho beat match winner Leander Dendoncker to the star man award after another influential midfield display. The 32-year-old hit the target with his only shot on goal and registered seven key passes. Moutinho also chipped in with three tackles and one interception.
Cardiff 2-3 Crystal Palace - Andros Townsend - 9.03 rating
If it had not been for Andros Townsend’s goal and assist, Cardiff may have lived to fight another day in the Premier League. As it is, Neil Warnock’s side are relegated at the first attempt. Townsend set up Wilfried Zaha for the first goal of the game and gave Palace a 2-1 lead just before half-time. Overall, the 27-year-old hit the target with three of his five shots, registered five key passes, completed four dribbles and won four free-kicks.
Newcastle 2-3 Liverpool - Trent Alexander-Arnold - 8.21 rating
Trent Alexander-Arnold set up two of the three goals Liverpool scored to take the Premier League title race into the final weekend of the season. The England international is now level with Liverpool's other full-back, Andrew Robertson, in the charts for assists in the Premier League this season (11). Alexander-Arnold also made a clearance off the line in Liverpool's dramatic 3-2 win over Newcastle. He is unfortunate that he will miss out on the Premier League team of the week to Ryan Fredericks, due to the fact the West Ham right-back scored a perfect WhoScored 10 rating.
