WhoScored tipster: Barcelona and Bayern bets in Saturday Cup final treble

While the majority of domestic leagues across Europe may have come to an end, this weekend is still packed with big matches to look forward to.

With a number of cup finals to enjoy this Saturday, we’ve picked tips for those in Portugal, Germany and Spain to build a huge treble for you to ponder.

Sporting CP vs FC Porto - Taca de Portugal (17:15 KO)

It will have been a grand total of seven days before these rivals last met as Porto came from behind late on to claim all three points on the final day in Liga NOS. It’s not abnormal that fans are left to wait for drama in this fixture either, with just one first half goal in the last eight meetings between the two.

The match last weekend was actually the first in seven between the sides that saw over 2.5 goals scored, with Sporting January signing Luiz Phellype breaking the deadlock. The lack of familiarity with the striker outside of Portugal might go some way to explaining his odds to score anytime, with Bet365 the only company carrying the market as things stand.

Since forcing his way into the XI at his new club the Brazilian has scored in eight of nine league starts for the club, so a price of 3.75 to score anytime is very tempting indeed.

RB Leipzig vs Bayern Munich - DFB-Pokal (19:00 KO)

With plenty of attacking talent on display in Berlin on Saturday, the bookies appear to have turned a blind eye to the recent meetings between these two sides. The odds are heavily stacked on overs on the 2.5 goal line but just one of the last five meetings between the sides has ended with such an outcome.

There were, in fact, more red cards (two) than goals (one) when Bayern and Leipzig faced off in the Bundesliga this season, with that an 83rd minute Franck Ribery match winner. Leipzig boasted the best defence in Germany’s top-flight over the course of the campaign (29 conceded), with Bayern a close second (32) and it is the rear guards that could win out in this one.

Highest odds of 2.4 (Marathon Bet) on under 2.5 goals are well worth considering as a result.

Barcelona vs Valencia - Copa del Rey (20:00 KO)

Without three important players ahead of the Copa del Rey final, the absence of Marc-Andre her Stegen, Ousmane Dembele and Luis Suarez should level the playing field when Barcelona face Valencia.

Given, then, that Valencia managed a draw in both of the league meetings between these sides last season, the odds suggest that this match is more one-sided than it may well prove to be. It’s the underdogs that not only enter the game with nothing to lose but also arguably in greater spirits having secured the final Champions League spot in La Liga last weekend, while Barcelona could only draw at Eibar.

Since the last meeting between these sides at the start of February - taking the lead in both of their encounters with Ernesto Valverde’s side - Valencia have conceded the opening goal in just six of 27 matches.

By comparison Marcelino’s men netted first in 18 games in that time so the fact that most bookmakers think Barcelona are twice as likely to open the scoring seems skewed. A price, instead, of 2.81 from Marathon Bet on Los Che to do so - having scored first in the last five league games between the two - is our final Saturday cup final tip.

The treble of all three selections this Saturday is a lofty 24.23 with Bet365.
