Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand is under consideration at Manchester United this summer, according to FootballTransfers.
Hjulmand played three times for Denmark at Euro 2024, scoring a fine goal in their second group game against England.
United’s hunt for a new midfielder in the summer transfer window has been well publicised thus far.
Erik ten Hag’s side have so far been linked with moves for PSG’s Manuel Ugarte, Monaco’s Youssouf Fofana and free agent France international Adrien Rabiot.
PSG’s €70 million valuation of Ugarte is unlikely to be met by United, who are believed to appreciate Hjulmand’s positional discipline and experience in a possession-based team.
Another option for United is Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, who spent last season on loan at Old Trafford, and though there was an option to buy the Moroccan midfielder at the end of that spell, it has not been triggered.
