Chelsea and United target to cost £60m

Real Madrid have put a £60m price tag on James Rodriguez’s head this summer, according to The Daily Mirror.

Rodriguez, 24, has been heavily criticised for his performances this season and has been linked with a move away from the Santiago Bernabéu in the summer as a result.

Chelsea and Manchester United are among those regularly mooted with a move for the Madrid midfielder, who has dropped down the pecking order under Zinedine Zidane.

Despite being chastised in some quarters, Rodriguez’s is still posting impressive numbers. The Colombia international has played a direct hand in 11 league goals in 19 league appearances this season and is creating a chance far more frequently than any other Madrid player to have made more than two league appears thus far (23 mins).
