Arsenal teenager the latest lined up for Bundesliga loan

Arsenal teenager Reiss Nelson is wanted on loan by Bundesliga club Hertha Berlin, The Sun reports.

The 19-year-old spent last season on loan in Germany’s top-flight with Hoffenheim but has since returned to Arsenal following his participation with England in the U21 European Championships.

The Arsenal academy graduate is close friends with Jadon Sancho, who made the move to Borussia Dortmund in 2017 and has become one of the Bundesliga’s star players, earning senior international recognition in the process.

Nelson would no doubt love to follow suit after a relatively frustrating season last time out, starting just five of 23 league appearances despite scoring seven goals.

The youngster played in both midfield and attack at Hoffenheim and that versatility would no doubt attract Hertha, who are keen to exploit the loan market further.

The capital city club have already secured the return of Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic and are also believed to be chasing Watford forward Dodi Lukebakio - who also played in Germany last season with Fortuna Dusseldorf.
