Mexico sensation crops up on Manchester United’s radar

Manchester United are the latest side to show an interest in PSV and Mexico star Hirving Lozano, reports Tuttomercatoweb.

The Mexican forward enjoyed a fine debut campaign for champions PSV as he scored 17 and registered eight assists to return a WhoScored.com rating of 7.90.

Indeed, a number of Europe’s top teams have shown an interest in Lozano, who was a key man in Mexico’s progression to the round of 16 at the World Cup before being knocked out by Brazil.

Barcelona had been leading the race for his signature, but they could now face competition from United with Jose Mourinho looking to strengthen his attack.

United are resigned to losing Anthony Martial this summer, with the Frenchman hoping to secure a move away from Old Trafford in a bid to land further first team action.

Lozano’s arrival could well spell the end of Martial’s time in Manchester, but United need to act fast if they are to secure the services of the 22-year-old.

The attacker’s stock has risen considerably at the World Cup after a series of solid displays for Mexico as they finished second in their group.
