Form Guide: Tottenham climb into the top 10 teams in Europe

It’s Tuesday, so that means it’s time for our updated team form rankings across Europe’s top five leagues, with two teams returning to this week’s top ten at the expense of Monaco and Napoli.

10. Liverpool (7.06) / Rating Change -.02

Down three places following defeat to fierce rivals Manchester United, Liverpool cling onto their place in the top ten as they aim to bounce back against Watford next weekend.

9. Tottenham (7.07) / Rating Change +.10

The biggest risers into the top ten, up five places, Tottenham’s convincing win over Bournemouth means they have now dropped two points from the last 18 available in the Premier League.

8. Barcelona (7.08) / Rating Change +.08

Having to make do without Lionel Messi this weekend, Barcelona strolled into an early 2-0 lead at Malaga and did all they had to to allow them to take their foot off the gas ahead of a crucial game with Chelsea.

7. Bayern Munich (7.11) / Rating Change +.01

It was the weekend of Bayern’s annual Allianz rout over Hamburg, with the Bundesliga champions taking another step towards another title well before the end of the season. They are down one place despite an improved rating, however.

6. Atletico Madrid (7.15) / Rating Change +.03

Returning to winning ways after their defeat to Barcelona, Atleti easily dispatched of Celta Vigo to ensure they at least kept their Madrid rivals at bay.

5. Roma (7.16) / Rating Change +.10

Climbing three places into the top five, Roma picked up their fifth win in six with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Torino and are now very much over a mid-season slump that had seen manager Eusebio Di Francesco come under pressure.

4. Juventus (7.19) / Rating Change +.02

Reclaiming their place at the top of Serie A, and with a game in hand, the last two weeks have been superb for Juventus. A 2-0 win over Udinese was their 11th in succession in Italy’s top-flight.

3. Manchester City (7.21) / Rating Change -.04

A routine 2-0 win over Stoke has ensured City are still in line to secure the Premier League title at Old Trafford next month, if they haven’t done so already by then.

2. Real Madrid (7.25) / Rating Change -.03

Another Cristiano Ronaldo brace ensured Real Madrid secured a sixth league win in seven as they bid to catch Atletico in second.

1. Paris Saint Germain (7.30) / Rating Change +.02

No Neymar, no problem for PSG this weekend, as they romped to a 5-0 victory over Metz, with maximum points over their last six league games.
