Still undecided what footballers to add to your portfolio? WhoScored have teamed up with Football INDEX to bring you weekly tips to help you make more informed decisions with your money. Share prices tend to fluctuate, but they aren’t just determined by player performance. Share prices can also increase based on the media attention a player receives on any given day of trading.

In this week’s edition, the WhoScored Expert has looked at which players are hitting form around the continent, picking out three Premier League flops who are flourishing for their new teams.

1. ANDREJ KRAMARIC (HOFFENHEIM)

After a miserable 18-month stint as Leicester’s club-record signing, Andrej Kramaric has found his feet in Germany.

The 26-year-old has scored 19 goals in 43 Bundesliga starts since the start of last season, but has really got going since the turn of the year.

Kramaric is in blistering form at the moment, establishing himself as a first-team regular for Hoffenheim.

The Croatia international has scored or assisted nine goals in his last seven matches for the Bundesliga outfit.

He will be confident of continuing his fine form when Hoffenheim host Bundesliga strugglers Cologne on Friday.

It’s worth considering Kramaric for your Football INDEX portfolio, particularly as he would only set you back £0.82 a share at the moment.

2. SIMONE ZAZA (VALENCIA)

Like Kramaric, Simone Zaza will not look back on his time in the Premier League with any great fondness.

The Italy international endured a nightmare six months on loan at West Ham, failing to score in eight Premier League appearances for the Hammers.

Zaza cut short his loan spell and retuned to Juventus before spending the second half of the 2016/17 campaign at Valencia.

The 26-year-old did enough to earn a permanent move to Los Che and has been a real positive for Marcelino’s side this season.

Zaza is enjoying his best season in front of goal (12), while only three Italians have scored more times in Europe’s top five leagues this season.

The Valencia No.9 has played a direct hand in three goals in his last three appearances and his Football INDEX share price is only £0.83!

3. CORENTIN TOLISSO (BAYERN MUNICH)

Bayern Munich will be boosted by the return to full fitness of midfielder Corentin Tolisso after the international break.

The 23-year-old got some playing time under his belt for France during the break and will now look to stay injury-free for the remainder of the campaign.

Tolisso has enjoyed an impressive debut campaign for Bayern, settling in to his new club seamlessly.

The former Lyon midfielder has scored or assisted three goals in his last four starts for Bayern (two goals, one assist).

For someone of his talent, his Football INDEX share price of £1.18 represents a bargain.

4. NICOLA BARELLA (CAGLIARI)

If Cagliari are to avoid relegation from Serie A, then they will need Nicolo Barella to continue his fine recent form.

In fact, only two Cagliari teammates have secured a higher WhoScored rating than Barella in Serie A this season (6.94).

The 21-year-old midfielder has scored five goals in 25 league appearances this season after failing to net in his previous 31 matches in Serie A.

Barella has scored in successive appearances for the first time in his short career and the Serie A minnows will eye another positive result this weekend when they take on strugglers Torino.

His Football INDEX share price is only £0.83 and that could prove a real bargain for your portfolios.

5. REMY CABELLA (SAINT-ETIENNE)

The third and final Premier League flop flourishing elsewhere in Europe is Saint-Etienne’s Remy Cabella.

The French forward failed to deliver on his hype when he signed for Newcastle in 2014 but has settled again back in his homeland.

Saint-Etienne have made a sublime start to 2018 and would be fifth if the table started at the start of the year.

Cabella has been instrumental to their fine recent form and has arguably been their most consistent performer all season.

In fact, the 28-year-old has the highest WhoScored rating of Saint-Etienne players that have made at least five league appearances this season (7.29).

He has scored or assisted in four of his last seven appearances and picked up the WhoScored Man of the Match award on two occasions in that time.

Cabella’s Football INDEX share price is only £0.62 and could prove to be one of the best acquisitions you make from now until the end of the season.
